Do you really know about puffed food?

Release time:2018/11/05 views:

Extruded food is a new type of food appearing in the late 1960s. It is also called extruded food, explosive food and portable food abroad. It uses cereals, potatoes and beans with less water content as the main raw materials. After pressure and heating treatment, the volume of the raw materials expands, and the internal structure changes. They are processed and formed. Because of its porous and fluffy structure, crisp and sweet taste, this kind of food has certain nutritional value and is very popular with children.

Do you really know enough about puffed food?

The current impression of puffed food is "five high and one high": high fat, high calorie, high salt, high sugar and polymonosodium glutamate. The popcorn was labeled "high in lead" on the crown. This is misleading. In fact, the processing method of food puffing itself will not bring these hazards.

"Five high and one high" is caused by excessive additives, which has nothing to do with the processing method of "puffing". Because manufacturers add a large number of food additives in order to improve the taste of food, these additives are the reasons for unhealthy puffing food. The processing mode of "puffing" mainly changes the taste of food. Except for frying and baking, extrusion and pressure puffing modes do not appear obvious harm for the time being.

On the contrary, puffing makes food easier to digest and absorb. Expansion technology makes starch ripen thoroughly, with porous interior and increased water solubility, which is beneficial to the infiltration of digestive enzymes in gastrointestinal tract and the digestibility and absorption of nutrients. Extruded food is mainly made from staple food. If no additives or less additives are added, the staple food of this kind of food is also indispensable. It can imitate the way of eating cereal and cornflakes.

Unfortunately, in most puffed foods, they have the characteristics of high fat, high calorie, high sugar, and are limited by processing paradigm. Puffed foods are suffering from secondary pollution. Long-term consumption will cause many potential diseases:

1. Extruded food polysaccharide polysaccharide monosodium glutamate has a very attractive taste, but long-term consumption of extruded food will affect people's appetite, especially in children at the stage of growth and development, it is easy to "indulge" in extruded food instead of eating staple food.

2. There are more calories in puffed food. Long-term consumption will lead to obesity, especially fatness.

3. After high temperature frying, baking and extrusion, the content of lead in puffed food will be very high, because at high temperature, lead in the metal pipeline of processed food will vaporize and stick to the puffed food. Lead in the human body is very difficult to be discharged from the body. When the amount of lead in the blood reaches a certain level, it will affect the hematopoietic system, cardiovascular system, digestive system and nervous system. Anemia, vomiting, anorexia and dullness will occur.

4. The reason why puffed food becomes "huge" is that it contains additives such as puffers. In addition, the packaging bags of puffed food also contain a certain amount of aluminium. The ability of human body to discharge aluminium is limited. Generally speaking, only 10% to 15% of aluminium can be discharged. The remaining aluminium will be gathered in the human body, and combined with enzymes, proteins and other components of the human body, affecting human health. Long-term consumption of puffed food can damage the normal function of the brain, and even lead to dementia, slow development, osteomalacia and so on.

Choose puffed food correctly:

1. Open the package and smell whether the odor of the product is normal. There should be no pungent salad, no mildew in appearance and crisp in mouth.

2. It is not suitable to eat too much for a long time. Long-term consumption of large quantities of puffed food will cause a large amount of fat, calories intake, easy to cause human body fat accumulation.

3. Extruded foods should be carefully selected for people who should not consume too much sugar or patients with hypertension.

4. Children and adolescents are in the stage of physical development. More attention should be paid to reasonable diet and balanced nutrition. If a large number of puffed foods are eaten before meals, it is easy to cause a sense of fullness and affect normal meals.
